Head of Marketing

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Marketing to lead and execute our global marketing strategy.

At Clastix, we build and maintain open-source technologies that power modern cloud-native platforms. Our flagship product, kMetal, enables organisations to run Kubernetes at scale with simplicity, efficiency, and control.

We are looking for someone who can drive concrete improvements in market perception, awareness, and positioning, helping Clastix become recognised as a leader in the Kubernetes and cloud-native space.

You will work closely with the founders, product, and sales teams to craft and amplify our narrative, ensuring our value is clearly understood by customers, partners, and the broader ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute a global marketing strategy aligned with company growth goals

  • Shape and strengthen Clastix’s brand positioning in the cloud-native ecosystem

  • Partner closely with Sales in building the pipeline — aligning campaigns, messaging, and sales enablement to accelerate deals and close the loop on lead quality.

  • Drive B2B lead generation and funnel optimisation in partnership with Sales, with clear accountability for pipeline contribution.

  • Build and manage campaigns that increase awareness, adoption, and credibility, especially in the Open Source community

  • Develop positioning, messaging, and differentiation for our open-source projects (Project Capsule, Kamaji) and the commercial platform (kMetal), tailored to B2B buyers in the cloud-native space.

  • Establish Clastix as a recognised authority in the Kubernetes space

  • Manage relationships with industry stakeholders (partners, foundations, media)

  • Own content strategy across all channels (website, blog, social, PR)

  • Own marketing operations end-to-end — including event programs (KubeCon, industry events, meetups), offline initiatives, and the marketing budget.

  • Measure and optimise marketing performance using data-driven approaches

We strongly encourage the team to leverage generative AI tools for productivity. A Claude Pro subscription is provided, and we expect you to use modern AI-assisted workflows for research, drafting, analysis, and content production.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Head of Marketing / Marketing Lead role in a startup or scale-up

  • Strong understanding of the cloud-native ecosystem (Kubernetes, CNCF landscape, open source dynamics) and the role of Sovereign Cloud and Sovereign Open Source

  • Proven track record of B2B demand generation and funnel optimisation, with a strong partnership model between marketing and sales.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and position a brand globally

  • Hands-on mindset: able to both define strategy and execute

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

  • Experience in companies operating within the Kubernetes or infrastructure space

  • Familiarity with CNCF and other open-source foundations

  • Background in developer-facing or technical products (without being DevRel-focused)

Salary Range

Depending on experience, our gross salary range is between 60.000 and 75.000 EUR. Candidates who are entitled to a valid work permit for Italy will be employed under a permanent contract governed by Italian law.

EU citizens, as well as individuals with a valid EU work permit, may engage under a B2B independent contractor agreement.
