NS, the Netherlands National Railway, architected NSPaaS to support more than 150 development teams in their DevOps journey. Part of the project is the transition to a multi-cloud environment on both AWS and Azure, while continuing to support an on-premise solution.

Sharing one platform across that many teams makes multi-tenancy a requirement rather than an option. NS implemented it using Capsule, the Clastix multi-tenancy operator for Kubernetes, as part of the wider NSPaaS architecture.

NS engineers Tom O'Brien and Armin Čoralić have presented the architecture and their Capsule implementation in a public webinar.
