We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a high-tech startup in a rapid growth phase, supporting an ambitious plan to scale our headcount and operations over the next three years.
At Clastix, we build technologies used in production by companies like NVIDIA, OVH, Rackspace, and Fastweb to run Kubernetes at scale. We serve enterprise customers across Europe, the US, and beyond — which means our financial, contractual, and operational setup is international from day one.
This is a key cross-functional role with 360-degree ownership of financial, administrative, and operational matters — from multi-currency client contracts and investor reporting to global payroll and headcount planning. You will work directly with the founders and leadership team, and act as the connective tissue between finance, operations, HR, and legal.
Our team is remote-first within Europe, with frequent in-person meetups for team building. Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
Manage client contracts across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy in international economic terms, multi-currency invoicing, and payment conditions
Monitor and manage operating expenses (OpEx), budgeting, and forecasting
Interface with external consultants — accountants, auditors, tax, payroll, and legal advisors
Maintain standardised global contract templates and secure contract filing
Prepare periodic financial reporting for the board of directors and investors
Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions — including new market entries and global scaling
Manage the employment document lifecycle for a global workforce, keeping administration aligned with the budget
Support our expansion plan by monitoring headcount trends and recruitment costs
We strongly encourage the team to leverage generative AI tools for productivity. A Claude Pro subscription is provided, and we expect you to use modern AI-assisted workflows for reporting, analysis, contract review, and administrative tasks.
Proven experience in similar finance roles within startups or SMEs — ideally in international or cross-border contexts
Degree in Economics, Finance, Administration, or a related field
Understanding of international invoicing, and cross-border tax/compliance basics
Expert proficiency in Excel and comfort with modern AI productivity tools (Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or equivalent)
Highly organised, autonomous, and comfortable operating in fast-evolving, global contexts
Strong communication skills for interacting with founders, investors, external advisors, and global staff
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Experience working with venture-backed startups or SMEs in scale-up phase
Familiarity with Italian employment and tax frameworks
Exposure to SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or open-source commercial business models
Experience with board reporting and investor communications
Working knowledge of additional European legal or tax systems

Depending on experience, our gross salary range is between 45.000 and 60.000 EUR. Candidates entitled to a valid work permit for Italy will be employed under a permanent contract regulated by Italian laws.
EU citizens, as well as individuals with a valid EU work permit, may engage under a B2B independent contractor agreement.
